Trip members: Glen Campbell, Meredith Cooper and Peter Gilbert

I have never been one to keep a journal but knowing that my memory isnt the best I wanted to record a few things during our trip to Newfoundland.

It passed the time nicely as Campbell drove and I tried to put a few words together.

I had always wanted to goto Newfoundland and the time had finally come. For company I was lucky enough to have my lovely Meredith and Mr. Congeniality himself, the talented and honorable Glen Campbell. I was very excited for Meredith and that Glen decided to join us on the drive across the island.

Meredith and I have a very comfortable relationship. I can't wait to see what the years bring us. Never say never is a pretty solid theory but she's a safe bet. All I have to do is what Campbell told me "don't screw it up", and I'll be set. I'm glad Glen got to meet her. There are many people that I value for many reasons, but there are no 2 others that I would rather have with me on this trip.

Glen and I had been on a few road trips in years gone by and I knew he had the adventurous spirit that was required to compliment my lack of sense to make for an interesting trip. We are good travelling companions because we have both been around at least enough to know that things happen. Enough so that we can realistically evaluate when to relax and when to worry. The 2 of us usually tend towards the relax side of things so that works well. Weve been through some harrowing scenes in British Colombia and Washington State, not to mention at home in New Brunswick, and we always manage to land on our feet. Glen is good people. Never met a nicer guy.

I had also not had an opportunity to play guitar with anyone from my past in a long time so I had been anticipating connecting with Glen around a campfire as soon as possible.
